ELKS BURBANK #1497
Message from Ken (mouse over)
EXALTED RULER KEN PAJAN
A master of satire, Wills tells the satirical story here of his initiation and subsequent experiences with the ‘Best People on Earth’ The Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks! Wills entertained [and] delighted audiences for many years with his own unique brand of singing these kinds of songs, until his tragic accidental death in 1917.”

As many of you know the Lodge has a website and our monthly bulletin, the Track, is posted on the website which many of you have opted to view and read instead of receiving it by US mail. We greatly appreciate it. This leads us to the issue at heart. We want to encourage more of you who haven’t switched over to receiving the Track via the internet to do so. Why? It is a lot less expensive to have a document available on a website to access then to mail that same document through the USPS. We would like to see that percentage grow in 2010. We know some members don’t have a computer and refuse to ever use a computer. We’re not concerned about those members. The members we want to direct this article to do are those that have a computer and are somewhat computer savvy but haven’t switched over for the following reason; had trouble in accessing the lodge’s website and have given up. The Track staff wants to alleviate that problem. Therefore, we are going to be offering a workshop on Saturdays, starting January 9, 2010, from noon to 2 pm, on how to get in and use the Lodge’s website. We’ll have a computer hooked up to a large display. It will be easy to follow the computer interactions. These workshops should answer all of you concerns. Attending one should do the trick. All you need to do is show up. We plan to run these workshops for several months so that if you miss one Saturday you can catch it on the next Saturday. See you Saturday, January 9, 2010.
